Resident Guidelines

Essential Policies and Expectations for a Safe and Supportive Community

Resident Guidelines

At Foothills Recovery, our Resident Guidelines are here to ensure a supportive and harmonious environment for everyone. These guidelines serve as a roadmap for behavior and interactions, fostering respect and safety within our community. By adhering to these guidelines, you not only contribute to a positive atmosphere but also enhance your own recovery journey. They are designed to help everyone feel comfortable and empowered, paving the way for success as you work towards healing and growth.

General Conduct

At Foothills Recovery, we believe in fostering a community where everyone feels safe and valued. All residents are expected to show respectful behavior towards each other and our dedicated staff. This includes:

  • Respectful Communication: Always use kind and considerate language.
  • Conflict Resolution: Approach conflicts with calmness and seek assistance if needed.
  • Personal Responsibility: Take accountability for your actions and understand their impact on others.

Substance Use Policy

To ensure a safe and supportive environment for everyone, the use of drugs, alcohol, and tobacco is strictly prohibited within our facility. Violation of this policy may result in immediate discharge. Your safety and well-being are our top priorities.

Attendance and Participation

Active participation is essential for your recovery journey. Residents are required to attend scheduled therapy sessions, group meetings, and activities. If you need to miss a session, please inform your care team in advance so we can provide the support you need.

Personal Belongings

We encourage residents to keep personal belongings to a minimum to maintain a safe and tidy environment. Please refrain from bringing items that could compromise your safety or that of others. A list of permitted items will be provided upon admission to help guide your packing.

Confidentiality

Respecting each other’s privacy is vital to creating a supportive community. Residents are expected to maintain confidentiality regarding fellow residents’ information and experiences shared within our space. Together, we build trust and safety.

Emergency Protocols

In the unlikely event of an emergency, please follow the facility’s emergency procedures. Our caring staff will provide clear instructions during orientation and are always available for assistance. Your safety is our utmost concern.

Consequences of Non-Compliance

While we strive for a nurturing environment, non-compliance with these guidelines may lead to disciplinary action. This can include counseling, loss of privileges, or discharge from the program. We are here to support your growth and well-being.

Rooted in Strength, Growing Toward Recovery

Like the roots of a tree, recovery begins beneath the surface. Though unseen, these roots grow stronger each day, anchoring you as you reach for new heights. Just as a tree depends on its roots to stand tall, your recovery journey is built on the inner strength, support, and resilience you nurture. With time and care, you will grow, thrive, and branch out toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
